- In reference to the attached, I beg to say that I have consulted Mr. Edison, and he thinks that these parties ought to be restrained from using the word "Electric" in connection with their Fire Extinguisher. He says further that he does not believe their statement to the effect that a chemist named Eddison perfected the invention. ## This is plainly an attempt to trade upon Mr. Edison's name, and he is desirous of having it stopped as far as it possibly can be.
