Title
[LB025023E], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Samuel Insull, July 7th, 1887
Editor's Notes
Mr. Edison has given me a memorandum of the payments which he has to make in connection with the New Laboratory during the ensuing few months. ## On July the 30th, he has to mee $5,500. Aug. 30th $5,000. Aug. 31st, $8,500. Sept. 17th $4,800. Sept. 30th $1,000. Oct. 10th $3,000. Nov. 10th $2609. These dates are approximate so far as absolute certainty is concerned, and depend upon the provisions of the contract with Builders being fulfilled to the letter; but in financing for the payments it will be necessary to consider them corect. Mr. Edison has about $5,000. and can probably get $5,000. more which will meet the first two payments, but after that I believe he is going to look to you to furnish him with money to the extent of the loan which he made you recently, the amount of which I thin kwas $15,000.00.
