Title
[LB026168], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Erastus Wiman, January 4th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"Re letter from Mr. W.R. Chisholm, Galveston, I have talked with Mr. Gilliland, Gen'l Agt of the Phonograph Co. and he is much pleased with the application. There is no charge made for state rights, but mr. C. may find his capital useful in pushing the business. Mr. Gilliland is not quite ready yet to arrange these agencies but will be shortly, and he entertains no doubt that he will be able to appoint Mr. Chisholm. I would suggest that the latter make formal application to the Edison Phonograph Co, #19 Dey St., New York--I return Mr. Chisholms letter."
