Editor's Notes
Have to run over to Philada. on phonoplexs matters Back Tuesday##Mexico##I enclose drafts letter to Connery and Mendez [?]—the former in regard to the articles included with the phonograph proper is the price quoted from [unclear] $50 –and the latter asking to [unclear] with Bernard [?]. Asking changes you think that require and have [unclear]. ### That to just [unclear] as to Edison CO. a [unclear] and seal as to the [unclear] on Tuesday. ### I also enclose draft letter to Connery authorizing him to obtain a concession from the Mexican Government. ### It [unclear] to me that what [unclear] could really have is a power of attorney of course relating exclusively to this [unclear]. The exact extent of his authority as a representation of all Edison [unclear] I think he defined more actively in a [unclear] proposal draft, there is a letter [?]. ### I have written Dyer & Seely for copies of all the Phonograph patents explaining that they are for use in Mexico and asking that if necessary they be certified by the Mexican Consul- and then sent to me. ### I think this covers everything." Yours, Tate
