- "With reference to the joint letter from Col. George E. Gouraud and myself addressed to you, relating to an agreement which, upon certain conditions, we propose entering into, regarding the introduction of the phonograph into Mexico &c., and in which joint letter the following statement is made:-- "The price for all phonographs supplied to the Company during the continuance of agreement not to exceed the said sum of Fifty Dollars per instrument &c, &c." ### it is intended that the amount named – Fifty Dollars – shall cover certain supplies which will be furnished with each phonograph.
