Title
[LB027159], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to George Parsons Lathrop, November 24th, 1888
Editor's Notes
"In further reference to your letter of 17th instant, it is pretty clearly proven that Mr. Lippincott spent Monday of June 12th in Washington, returning to New York on the morning of Tuesday, June 12th, so that it is not possible you can be right when you state that Mr. Lippincott was at Mr. Edison's Laboratory on June 11th. You fix the date as the 11th by stating that you left on the 13th for home, and that it was two days after you had been at the Laboratory. The question is, may it not have been one day after you had been at the Laboratory and [unclear] New York for New London? This would identify the day that Mr. Lippincott was at the Laboratory as the 12th. I am sorry to trouble you so much in regard to this matter, but it is quite important to Mr. Edison." Yours very truly, A.O. Tate
