- [LB027160], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Frank W Moore, November 24th, 1888
- Editor's Notes
- "You are endeavoring to fix a day in the latter part of May or the early part of June last when certain business was transacted at this Laboratory. I remember that on the day in question the walls of the Edison Phonograph Works had not been erected to a sufficient height to obscure the forms of people walking about the inside of the buildings. I have thought it possible that I might locate the day which I am trying to place by ascertaining from you when work was commenced at the Phonograph factory and then by calculating the progress which was made, it would bring us within two or three days of the date in question. Will you be kind enough to give me this information as quickly as possible." Yours truly, A.O. Tate
