"I beg to notify you that your Mr. [unclear] on your behalf handed us today the following notes:- a} Note under date Nov 30/88 [unclear] payable to order of Thomas Edison for five thousand dollars ($5,000). Due all 2/89 at the Eleventh [unclear] Bank New York City ### B) Note under date Dec. 1st/88 @ four months. Payable to order of Thomas A. Edison for five thousand Dollars ($5,000). Due April 3rd/89 at the Germania Bank New York City ### The above notes cover the two notes of yours, both like amounts, to the order of Thomas A. Edison which matured respectively Nov. 2nd and Nov 3rd/88 and were paid by us." A.O. Tate
