- "I have your note of 12th instant, in regard to phonograph dolls. It would give me great pleasure to comply with your request were I able to do so, but up to the present time I have simply been conducting experiments on these dolls and have not turned out a completed machine. I expect to have a model ready in the course of a couple of weeks, after which the dolls will be manufactured in number and you will have no difficulty in getting one."
