"In reference to your letter of 20th instant, I beg to say that Mr. Edison employs a number of young men in his experimental departments, who are graduates of technical schools. There is no vacancy at present to which the young man you speak of could be appointd, nor am I able to say when one will occur. If he were a first class chemist we might be able to make room for him. What experience has he had in this direction?"
