"We are sending you to-day two samples of insulation compound, Nos. 439 and 440. In regard to the former, we wish to know if it is too brittle and if it melts sufficiently. IN regard to No. 440, kindly inform us if it is too soft, and give us any further information in regard to either sample which you consider may be of use of our guidance."
