"We have received a letter from the Edison Electric Illuminating Co. of New York, informing Mr. Edison of his election as a Director, to serve for the ensuing year. The Secretary asks Mr. Edison, in the event of his accepting the position, to have at least ten shares of stock transferred to his (Mr. Edison's) name.
