[LB027875], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to U.S. Post Office Dept. Foreign Mails, Nicholas Montgomery Bell, January 23rd, 1889
Editor's Notes
"Replying to your letter of 22d instant, regarding a request of the Imperial German Post Office, for one of my new phonographs, to be exhibited in the German Postal Museum, Berlin, I beg to say that application should have been made to my European representative, Col. George Edward Gouraud, Little Menlo Park, Upper Norwood, Surrey, England. I have forwarded to Col. Gouraud a copy of your letter under reply, requesting him to communicate direct with the Imperial German Post Office." Yours very truly, [signed] TAE
