- [LB027894], Letter from Thomas Alva Edison to George Edward Gouraud, January 24th, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- "I am in receipt of your letter of 12th instant, in regard to obtaining a phonographic record of the sound of Niagara Falls. This is quite practicable, and I would be very glad to comply with your request were it not that we are so very busy. The time of all my assistants is completely taken up in the Laboratory and at the Phonograph Works. In a couple of months when we are settled down to routine work, I will be very glad to send some one to Niagara and obtain the phonograms you now ask for." Yours very truly, [signed] TAE
