Editor's Notes
"I am in receipt of the following cablegram from you under date 23d instant;- ### 'Offer twenty thousand dollars phonograph privilege Chile. Answer Stewart Concepcion.' ### As the business to which you refer is in the hands of my Agent, Col. George E. Gouraud, Little Menlo, Upper Norwood, Surrey, England, I have cabled you today as follows:- ### 'Address Gouraud, London.' ### meaning that you shall communicate with Col. Gouradu and make to him direct my proposition what you wish to submit in connection with the phonograph in Chile. I have advised Col. Gouraud by wire of your offer and requested him to negotiate direct with you. It is therefore quite probable that you will hear from his before my telegram of to-day reaching you- certainly before you receive this letter." Yours very truly, [signed] TAE
