Editor's Notes: "I enclose herewith copy of Mr. Edison’s agreement with the Phonograph Works, under date 12th May, 1888, and beg to call your attention to the 4th paragraph thereof, which provides for the assignment of 38% of the stock issued to Mr. Edison under the above agreement to a trustee upon the conditions named. All this stock has been issued to Mr. Edison, and I wish to arrange for carrying out the provision in regard to trust. The Garfield Safe Deposit Co. will be a satisfactory trustee to Mr. Edison.
