Title
[LB028376], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Edison United Manufacturing Co, February 25th, 1889
Editor's Notes
"We are sending you by same mail the only sample of Mr. Burke's underground cable that we have. The trouble with this cable is, that the insulation eats away in a very short time after it is laid in the ground, which you can see for yourselves from the different samples that we have sent you. I may add that there is now not a single light burning in connection with this outside installation. The system is absolutely useless." Yours very truly, A.O. Tate
