Title
[LB028544], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Charles Batchelor, March 7th, 1889
Editor's Notes
In reference to the attached, the lease of the Bloomfield factory runs until the first of May next. Mr. Edison does not wish to use the building after that date, but in the meantime we are, I presume, responsible for its care. The lease was turned over to the Phonograph Works at the time Mr. Edison transferred the manufacturing business to them. Would it not be well for you to send a man over to Bloomfield to take such steps as are necessary to prevent the destruction of the property while it remains in our hands?
