"Replying to your letter of 5th instant, received from your Mr. H.W. Meadowcroft, in regard to a plan for transmitting 500 horse power twenty miles to be delivered in the Comstock mines, Mr. Edison says that the data which you gave is insufficient to enable him to answer your question intelligently.
