- Mr. Edison has received your letter 7th inst. Also a communication from [S. D.?] Lauter Co. in reference to the prices and asks me to say to you that his understanding of the arrangement was that the payments for the Plans were to have been activated over a period of three years in which case he agreed to purchase it for you. ### Mr. Edison says that he cannot pay immediate cash for the instrument.
