- Editor's Notes
- "With reference to your letter of 18th instant, we wished the experiment tried only as a method of applying the insulating compound. Is the method of squirting compound on wire, then winding and soaking in melted compound a practicable one? It was not expected that a compound formerly proved to be destructive of the cotton would cease to be so simply because it was applied in a different manner. We suggested the method only as a way of applying a compound that cannot be made sufficiently fluid for any other method of application." Yours very truly, LABORATORY OF THOMAS A. EDISON/per DTM
