- Editor's Notes
- I beg to acknowledge receipt of your cablegram of to-day, confirmed elsewhere, in regard to your address before the French Academy, which has been fixed for 15th of next month. As requested, I have instructed Mr. Hammer by wire not to exhibit the phonograph to anyone until after you have delivered your lecture as arranged. Mr. Hammer has a number of latest style phonographs, which are complete excepting the spectacles, and as indicated in my cablegram to you, I will express these spectacles in ample time for your lecture. I have to-day written Mr. Hammer in regard to placing these machines at your disposal for the above purpose." Your very truly [Signed] TAE
