- "Referring to your letter No. 85, [number is unclear] Ger., under date 30th ultimo, quoting an extract from a communication which you have received from the German Office in regard to Phonoplex Telegraph apparatus for the Imperial Postal Museum, I beg to say that I am having these instruments made, and will forward them to you securely packed as quickly as they can be gotten ready. ### I wish you would be good enough to convey to the Imperial German Post Office my thanks for the books &c. which they have sent to me; and I will also trouble you to instruct the Postmaster at New York to forward the packages direct to me at Orange, N.J.
