Title

[LB029276], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to W J Alder, April 26th, 1889

Editor's Notes

"Mr. Edison has received your letter of 10th instant and asks me to say in reply that he has tried about twenty different methods of driving the phonograph. His latest form of screw, with its [unclear] devices prevent the ignorant from damaging the thread. He has automatic machinery for cutting this screw at an exceedingly low cost. Mr. Edison cannot at present make any changes in connection with the machine."
