- Editor's Notes
- "I regret very much to say, in replay to your letter of 4th instant, that just at present we cannot receive your class at the Laboratory. Mr. Edison is conducting a lot of experiments in the Lecture Room, which is the only reception room we have, and the only place available for an exhibition of the phonograph, which I presume is the chief object of attraction, and until these are completed I will be unable to make an appointment for your pupils. Just as soon as it is practicable, however, I will advise you." Yours very truly, A.O. Tate
