- [LB031482], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate to Dick (A.B.) Co, August 2nd, 1889
- Editor's Notes
- "I enclose herewith check of the Franklin Institute for Twenty Dollars ($20) to the order of Mr. Edison, and endorsed by the latter payable to yourselves. This check accompanied the John Scott Medal which was recently awarded Mr. Edison for the Mimeograph by the City Trust of Philadelphia, and properly belongs to yourselves. Mr. Edison authorized Mr. Green B. Raum, Jr., your agent in Philadelphia, to receive the medal on his behalf, and I understand it is now in Mr. Raum's possession. This should prove a good advertisement for the Mimeograph."
