Title
[LB033047], Letter from Alfred Ord Tate, Edison Phonoplex System to Pennsylvania Railroad, William F Taylor (Pennsylvania), October 9th, 1889
Editor's Notes
"Referring to your letter of 5th instant to Mr. W. S. Logue, wherein you speak of the depreciation of the new battery which you are trying, I desire to correct a misapprehension which you have in regard to the way which this battery depreciates. I can best do this by the following diagram: [diagram follows] #### You will see from the above that the whole of the depreciation takes place within 24 hours after the battery is set up, after which time it remains constant, dying very rapidly when exhaustion takes place. I am very much gratified by the result of your test and very much indebted to you for your kind attention." Yours truly, A.O. Tate
