Editor's Notes
I have confirmed elsewhere my telegram to you under date 18th instant, accepting proposition contained in your letter under date September 10th. I now beg to confirm your reply as follows: 'Faisons immediatement desires modeles photographies LIvreriorns machine (300) chevaux triple expansion D exposition fin Novembre Havre quarante cing mille francs condenseur complet huit mill frances. WEYHER.' This message seems to have been somewhat mutulated in transmission. I understand from it that you will make immediately drawings, models and photographs, and that you can deliver a 300 horse power triple expansion engine at Havre fro the sum of forty-five thousand francs. [marginalia inserted here is unclear] Kindly correct me if this interpretation is imperfect. ### I believe that I shall be instrumental in obtaining for you a few good orders for engines in London. ### In regard to payment for the drawings and models which you are preparing for me in accordance with your letter above referred to, you may draw upon me at any time in payment for these on Drexel, Morgan & Co., New York City through Messrs. Drexel, Harjes, & Co., Paris." Very truly yours, [signed] TAE [TAE Marginalia: "I will let you know in a day or two whether I require the 3rd [unclear] Engine and Condenser."]
