- Editor's Notes
- In talking with Mr. Edison the other day about our foreign business, he mentioned the Mimeograph, and in the course of conversation asked me about the sales over there and what I considered the royalties would amount to. I asked him if he had any understanding with you in regard to royalties, and he said that the general arrangement under which you were selling machines covered the foreign as well as the domestic business. Thereupon I dropped the subject, so that I might have an opportunity of consulting you and relieving an impression which I had formed but which I did not wish to communicate to Mr. Edison without further investigation. You will remember that you and I had some little conversation with regard to Mr. Edison's royalty on Mimeographs sold abroad, while we were in Europe, but we did not pursue the mater very far. ### Will you kindly inform me if Mr. Edison's account is being credited with royalty on your foreign sales, the same as on sales in this country, and very much oblige. Very truly yours, A.O. Tate
