Editor's Notes

We have just received your telegram as follows:- ### 'Will take 300 h.p. triple expansion exposition engine with condenser. Await formal order by mail. Have you mailed photographs and blue prints?' ### We thank you very much for this order, and await instructions which you promise by next mail. We are making at this moment special photographs for you, which we will have the pleasure of sending you in a few days. Complete working drawings for the 150 and 300 h.p. engines, as well as the condensers, are nearly finished and we think we shall be able to send them after a few days. The wooden models of the 150 h.p. engine are about to be finished and those of the 300 h.p. engine are far advanced. We are losing no time in order to let you have them at the earliest possible moment. Kindly send by first mail exact instructions for allowing shipping them from Havre to the United States. We thank you for allowing us to authorize a draft upon your Bankers, Drexel, Morgan, & Co. through Drexel, Harjes & Co., of Paris, but we will not take this liberty until after we shall have sent your models and drawings. ### In conclusion we shall sate that we shall be extremely happy if you will favor us with a few words in your own handwriting that we may preserve as a souvenir. (Signed) On. Weyher
