- Your favor of the 23rd inst addressed to Mr. Batchelor was handed me for attention and the reason your account has not been paid is that all bills for work done at the house have to be approved by Mrs. Edison and your bill was sent to her and a day or two ago she returned same and said the bells &c did not work satisfactory and wished you to send out a man to put same in order. ### Please give this your prompt attention and as soon as I hear from Mrs. Edison that the work is satisfactory I will see that your account is paid immediately.
