- Editor's Notes
- Your letters of 13th instant to myself and Mr. Edison came duly to hand. We regret exceedingly the disappointment which you have been caused through the failure of your arrangement with Col. Gouraud in regard to a supply of phonographs, but there is no very active part that we can take in assisting you, beyond recalling the matter to Col. Gouraud's attention, which has been done. He has a full control of the merchandizing of the phonograph abroad, and we are not in a position to interfere with him. ### I understand that the Thorne machine, in which I believe you are interested, is having great success over here. Very truly yours, AO Tate
