- Replying further to your letter of 23rd instant, in regard to an application of Mr. Edison on the new toy phonograph, which has been allowed by the U.S. Patent Office, I beg to say that I am authorized by the Edison Phonograph Toy Manufacturing Company [insertion unclear] to take out patents in all foreign countries for this improvement. Of course these will be taken out in Mr. Edison's name, and we will adjust the matter with the Toy Phonograph Co. under Mr. Edison't agreement with them.
