- On the 5th of July last you sent to the Laboratory two copies of a proposed agreement between Thomas A. Edison and the Garfield Safe Deposit Company, asking in your letter of same date that a certificate for 592 8/10 shares of the Capital Stock of the Edison Phonograph Works be made out in the name of the Garfield Safe Deposit Company. Before transferring this stock, will you kindly advise me if the Garfield Safe Deposit Company has agreed to accept the trust, after which I will have Mr. Edison execute the agreement and forward it to you.
