- Editor's Notes
- I duly received your letter of 6th instant in regard to the Keratry Breakfast. Mr. Edison had already received an invitation from Mr. R.U. Johnson, of the CENTURY, to meet Count Emile de Keratry on the occasion in question, and I wrote Mr. Johnson last night, stating that Mr. Edison was absent and that it would be impossible for him to be present. The latter arrived home unexpectedly last night, and sent Mr. Johnson the following telegram this morning:-- "I have just returned home after an absence of several days and hastent to express my regret at being unable to attend the breakfast to Count Emile de Keratry, who represents a movement which has my fullest sympathy." Your very truly, A O Tate [most likely related to copyright]
