The Edison Machine Works,
Schenectady, N.Y.
Dear Sirs:-
We have a process at the Laboratory which requires a machine for winding cotton thread from the skein to the bobbin. I know that you use many of these machines in your Wire Covering Dep't., and my impression is that they have 50 to 100 spools on each one. I want to get a machine that will wound about 100 spools and would like to know if you made the machines referred to above yourselves or whether you bought them ready made. If you made them yourselves, you can doubtless furnish us with the castings, so that we could make one with a capacity of about 10 spools. Any information you can give us on this subject will be gladly rec'd.
Yours very truly,
Edison Laboratory
