Dear Sirs:-
I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of 3rd instant, in regard to the Minute Book No. 1 of the Edison Electric Light Co. of Europe Limited. I think that this must be in the possession of Mr. Tomlinson. I enclose herewith a letter to that gentleman, requesting him to deliver the Minute Book to you if he has it. Please let me know if you receive it from him.
I acknowledge receipt of original agreement between Mr. Edison and the Ore Milling Co., Limited. You did not obtain this original from me; I sent you a copy of this agreement a few days ago, and the original which belongs to Mr. Edison is in our safe. Did you not obtain it from the Ore Milling Co., and shall I return it to you, so that you may hand it to them?
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
