March 6, 1890 Thomas A. Edison, Esq., Charlotte, N.C. Dear Sir:- I beg to confirm the following telegram sent you this morning:- "Just received following: "The representatives of all the railroads of Russia assembled by kind invitation of Mr. Block to witness a demonstration of your perfected phonograph tender their heartfelt sympathies to this your wonderful discovery; they feel impatient[?] to be enabled to put fame into practical use.
