Dear Sir:-
Referring to the 592 8/10 shares of stock of the Edison Phonograph Works which were placed in trust in the hands of the Mercantile Safe Deposit Company, I desire to give Mr. Chas. Batchelor a paper which will secure to him an interest equal to ten percent upon any dividends or divisions of profit which may be paid me on these shares. Will you kindly prepare such a paper, and oblige.
