Dear Sir:-
With reference to your letter under date of 16th of December last, I beg to inform you that the goods mentioned therein, were shipped from the Edison Phonograph Works on October 26th, 1889 via., United States Express Company and Baldwin Brothers and Co's express, and should have reached you in due course.
It is possible that the recent troubles in Brazil, may have had something to do with the detention of these goods, but we hope that you will come into possession of same, ore this communication reaches you.
