My dear Glass,-
Very many thanks for your telegram, assuring me that we have your support in connection with our negotiations with the "Nickel-Slot" people. I knew that I had only had to ask for this in order to obtain it. The Cheever crowd don't seem to know when they are well off. If there should be any slip-up in these negotiations, it certainly won't be my fault. I have worked hard enough, made ever concession possible and have done everything in my power to harmonize the conflicting interests. It now rests entirely with Cheever and Gilliland.
Yours very truly,
A.O. Tate
