No. 18 Broadway,
New York City
Dear Sir:-
I enclose herewith Consular Invoice in connection with shipment of 300 h.p. engine and Condenser made to Mr. Edison by Messrs. Weyher & Richmod, from Havre. This was returned to us by Messrs. Perry & Ryer, who obtained it, together with other papers relating to certain of Mr. Edison's foreign shipments, from the Merchants' Despatch Transportation Co. The latter concern state that they handed all the papers received by them from Weyher and Richmond to Messrs. Perry & Ryer, who inform us that the invoice handed you herewith is the only paper they can find for which they have made no entry. Please inform me if this invoice will enable you to cancel your bond at they Custom Hose, of if there are other papers missing.
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
