March 22nd 1890 Mr. W.S. Logue, Care of Postal Telegraph-Cable Company Chicago, Illinois. Dear Sir:- I have your letter of 19th inst., referring to a conversation which you recently had with a "prominent Telegraph Official; in regard to Battery and Phonoplex, and I note all that you say in relation thereto. \ So far as the Phonoplex is concerned, we are getting so mighty little out of it now, that there is hardly enough to divide amongst one, and we cannot afford to tip the Superintendents. With the Battery business, however, we can do something, as there is a little margin on this, and I will send you a list of the discounts (commission) which we can allow on this business. Very truly yours, A.O. Tate Electrician
