Secretary of the Treasury
Washington, D.C.
Dear Sir:-
The Canadian Company of Sudbury, Ontario, Can sent to me, some four or five weeks ago, a carload of copper matte, which was annoyed by your representative in Newark, and upon which I paid duties, amounting to some $1800.00.
I desire to return this matte to Canada, and should be glad to be advised by you, if in doing so, I could recover the amount of duties which I have paid.
Yours very truly,
Thos A. Edison
