I beg to confirm the following telegram sent you this afternoon by Mr. Edison:-
"Regret exceedingly that I am unable to attend meeting to be held this afternoon in the Law Library of the Equitable Life Assurance Society for the purpose of receiving a communication from Mr. Gladstone addressed to American Co-Operative Building Loan Association. Am feeling very unwell and obliged to stay at home. Thos A. Edison.
