Dear Sirs:-
Re Walch versus Edison. Mr. Edison has read your letter of 1st instant in regard to this case, reporting a preliminary interview which you have had with Mr. D'infreville, who is of the opinion that he can help us with his testimony, and requesting Mr. Edison to let you know whether to retain him.
I beg to confirm our conversation of today in regard to this subject, to the effect that you had better engage Mr. D'Infreville. His charge for services is very high, but Mr. Lewis will, of course, use him to as small an extent as possible.
