My dear Sir:-
Referring to your telephone message of yesterday received at the Phonograph Works, in regard to six Mercury Pumps which were to have been sent to the Duke of Marlborough, I was under the impression that these had gone forward long ago, and was very much disappointed to learn that through some misunderstanding the Lamp Co. failed to ship them as arranged. I have now the matter in hand, and enclose herewith copy of a letter on the subject which I have today addressed to Mr. F.R. Upton, Gen'l Manager of the Edison Lamp Co.
Yours truly,
A.O. Tate
Private Secretary
