Dear Sir:-
In further reference to your letter to let instant, with which was enclosed a list of parts of the phonograph ordered by a Mr. Han, in Shanghai, I have consulted Mr. Edison, and he is of the opinion that [illegible] ought not to supply these parts. I think that the easiest way out of this matter would be for your house to inform Mr. Han that they authorized to supply parts for [illegible] purposes only, and then at such time only when actual [illegible] is required; that for each new part supplied the old part must be returned to your house.
I return herewith Mr. Han's list.
