April 4, 1890 Messrs Dyer & Seely No. 40 Wall Street New York City Dear Sirs:- I enclose herewith copy of a letter under date March 31st 1890, received by Mr. Edison from Francis R. Upton, General Manager of the Edison Lamp Co., in regard to the desirability of patenting the combination lamp plug which enables us to fir the sockets of other makers.
