Orange, N.J. April 7th, 1890 The Wilmington City Electric Company Wilmington, Delaware Dear Sirs:- The Edison Manufacturing Company, of 65 Fifth Avenue New York City, have referred to us your letter of the 14th instant, and we beg to say that Messrs, Bergmann and Company of No. 298 Avenue B. New York City make a form of Edison Motor which is in several important respects an improvement over the previous type. In the new meter, the plates are of the same size from the smallest to the largest meter, and are about half the weight of the old No. 4 plate the bottles being similarly reduced. For full particulars we would refer you to Messrs Bergmann and Company. The meter has not yet been accepted by the Edison Companies, as the authorized standard, but the official recognition of this or some similar type may we believe be shortly expected. Yours faithfully, Edison Laboratory
